ABOUT THE CLASS

Science 2 encourages children to look at the world with curiosity and ask one of the most important scientific questions: “Why?”

Students learn to observe carefully, notice patterns, ask questions and think about possible explanations. The class emphasizes scientific reasoning — learning how to move from an observation to a question and from a question toward a thoughtful conclusion.

Children discover that science is not simply a collection of facts to memorize, but a way of investigating and understanding the world around them.
